Ms. Lerner is a solo practioner focusing on Intellectual Property, Ecommerce, Internet, Technology and Entertainment law.
Ms. Lerner has over 15 years of experience advising start up and emerging small to mid sized companies across a wide range of industries. She interned at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum during law school and upon graduation the Museum created a role for her to serve as its first General Counsel. She was responsible for the Museum's worldwide IP Portfolio and Museum agreements including merchandise, sponsorship, license, performance, exhibits, book publishing, video production agreements and developed the first legal department for the Museum.
Ms. Lerner was an associate at a top tier international firm where she advised focused on Intellectual Property and Business Transactions and worked with high profile domestic and international companies. She then served as Associate General Counsel for AG Interactive (a MultiMedia Internet Platform ) where she drafted and negotiated music publishing agreements with all the major record labels in connection with the flagship mobile ringtone division and bluemountain.com, americangreetings.com, egreetings.com and international web sites. Ms. Lerner then served as Associate General Counsel American Greetings Worldwide Entertainment and Licensing Divisions in connection with Stawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, Holly Hobbie, Twisted Whiskers properties.
Ms. Lerner started her solo private practice in 2007 where she focuses on advising small to medium sized companies. She recently held the position of General Counsel and Secretary for insurance.com where she developed a legal department and advised in connection with the sale of the company.
Ms. Lerner served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, is a published author and frequent speaker on legal issues related to advising start up companies, technology, Internet and intellectual property law.
