He has long been active in cross-border transactions, and has done deals in some 25 countries on five continents. He is also adjunct professor of international business at the University of Bridgeport, was managing editor for 5 years of a Luxembourg-based e-zine on developments in Internet, data privacy and intellectual property law, has judged business plan competitions sponsored by the Yale School of Management and Wharton-affiliated Singapore Management University, has had numerous media appearances, sat on the board of and is affiliated with several business incubators and accelerators, and donates 20% of his business time to NGOs and social enterprises with particular emphasis on economic development, property rights and capacity building in developing countries. Neil also trained in negotiation at Harvard's Project on Negotiation.
