Practice exclusively in Immigration Law. I assist clients secure Immigrant and Non-Immigrant visas including but not limited to Employment based visas (H-1); Intra company Managers/Executives(L-1), and investment visas including Traders/Investors (E-1/E-2).
Kripa’s practice focuses on all areas of Immigration and Nationality law. She handles matters related to Removal/Deportation defense before the Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Kripa has a diverse practice representing individuals and companies in various stages of the immigrant and non-immigrant process. Her practice includes employment based petitions, family based petitions, removal defense, citizenship/naturalization and non-immigrant visas.
Admitted to practice in the State of Washington, she is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, and is also admitted to practice before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Kripa is fluent in English, Nepali and Hindi and is conversant in Urdu and Spanish.
Prior to founding Orbit Law, PLLC in 2010, Kripa worked with a small firm in Seattle where she assisted clients in various aspects of the Immigration process, including family based and removal matters. She was also previously affiliated with a firm in San Francisco, CA, where she focused exclusively on Employment/Business based immigration.
A member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, Kripa currently serves as the Chair of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) committee. She previously served as the Chair (2009-2010) & Vice Chair (2008-2009) of the Citizenship day committee.
Kripa is a first generation immigrant who remains actively involved with various Immigrant's Rights associations in the greater Seattle area. She regularly conducts free seminars for members of the immigrant community in Seattle, WA, for which she received the Washington State Bar Association's (WSBA) Community Service Award for 2011.
