John Rothstein has been interested in law since the days of his childhood where he would spend Sunday afternoons studying contract law with his attorney-grandfather. After graduating from Plymouth State University with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science, John attended New England Law - Boston, graduating in 1993 with a Juris Doctor degree.
After passing the Massachusetts and New Jersey bar exams, John moved with his wife to New Jersey where he worked as a litigator in Newark, New Jersey. John spent several years litigating a variety of cases, including auto accident, medical malpractice, premises liability, and defective product cases.
In 1996, John opened his first law firm in Millburn, New Jersey. Over the next ten years, John represented individuals and small businesses in contract cases, shareholder agreements and business franchising. John's success in business law led to his becoming active in numerous trade groups and Chambers of Commerce. In 2001, John was named the Morris County Chamber of Commerce Small Businessperson of the Year.
In 2005, John and his family moved home to Massachusetts where John took over running his family's printing business. In this role, John was not only the in-house provider of legal services to his company, but also a consumer of legal services. This unique perspective, as both attorney and client, clarified many of the shortcomings the traditional delivery of legal services and led to John opening up his current firm in JUly 2011.

In addition to traditional engagements, the firm offers a monthly subscription-like plan that provides ongoing preventative legal services and ongoing telephone and document review support for a fixed monthly fee.
