My practice consists of advising maturing businesses on a range of business and transactional legal matters, including general commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation, contrventure capital and merger and acquisitions transactions, securities law matters and general business legal advice. I am also available to provide services as an outside general counsel to businesses in a wide variety of industries.
Jessica B. Fairchild is the Founding Partner of Fairchild Law Offices, LLC, which was launched in May 2010. Ms. Fairchild represents entrepreneurs, businesses and sports-related organizations in a variety of business and transactional legal issues.
Prior to that time, Ms. Fairchild served as the General Counsel of Chicago 2016, the not-for-profit organization that led the City of Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Ms. Fairchild acted in that capacity for nearly three years, overseeing all day-to-day legal issues for the organization and legal matters relating to Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.
From 2000 - 2006, Ms. Fairchild was a member of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Sidley Austin LLP’s Chicago office. While with Sidley, Ms. Fairchild advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity and general corporate law matters.
Ms. Fairchild is a 2000 graduate of The University of Chicago Law School and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign in 1997, where she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Tennis Team.
