Jane has provided legal guidance to small and creative businesses in Central Ohio since 2008.  She represents small businesses in all phases – from deciding what sort of business entity to form, to navigating contract and employment issues, to sale or dissolution.  Jane has an extensive background in business litigation that gives her a unique perspective on identifying and avoiding problems that are likely to occur down the road.   Jane is a graduate of the University of Southern California law school, where she served as executive editor of the Southern California Law Review.  She spent the first 15 years of her legal career litigating business disputes – often with millions of dollars at stake -- at prominent Southern California law firms.  Jane moved to Ohio in 2004, and after helping her husband run his small animation business, opened Haskins Law LLC to provide legal services to small businesses. Jane is driven by a desire to help business owners set up and run their businesses so they protect themselves and minimize the risk of costly and time-consuming litigation.   Jane truly enjoys getting to know her clients and learning about their work.  She prides herself on giving each client personal attention and delivering high quality services – whether it’s quick advice or a detailed contract -- that provide a tangible business benefit.   In her spare time, Jane enjoys sewing, bicycling and volunteering at her local farmers market.
