EntrepreLaw is a boutique Silicon Valley law firm focusing on commercial transactions and start-up formation. We advise public companies on M&A and other strategic commercial deals, and start-ups on initial financing and customer and vendor contracts.
We offer our clients a firm of seasoned business lawyers of the highest caliber.
We make it easy for our clients to obtain rapid and concise legal advice on their business. Our commercial approach is pragmatic, and our skill is getting deals done.
Ian Stock has spent many years honing his craft with major law firms, and has also served as in-house counsel for high-tech public companies.
Currently offering general counsel legal services to smaller public and late-stage private clients, his experience as a commercial and business lawyer is second to none. Before his years as Special Counsel at Wilson Sonsini, he handled international M&A and licensing deals in France for ten years and speaks fluent French. His initial training as a corporate lawyer was with a New York law firm.
Ian specializes in the basic bread and butter commercial transactions, product sales, licenses, supplier agreements and the like.
He has driven to completion complex M&A, IP licensing and joint venture transactions on both sides of the Atlantic.
Ian helps non-US high-tech start-up clients move their center of gravity to Silicon Valley, and negotiate with and understand their investors and other strategic American partners.
He derives great satisfaction from helping his public company clients with their joint ventures and other complex commercial transactions. He navigates with easy familiarity the tension between making the product sale and protecting his client seller.
Ian was born and raised in the UK, earned his Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors in Human Ecology at U.C. Berkeley and his J.D. at the Yale Law School, where he organized the law school’s soccer team.
