Gina Dennis

DENNIS LAW GROUP assists clients with real estate transactions in the residential sector and the commercial sector. We represent clients in transactions involving the purchase or sale of real estate as well as leases, residential mortgages, and commercial loans.

Gina N. Dennis is the founder of DENNIS LAW GROUP. Ms. Dennis is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Ms. Dennis received her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from American University's Washington College of Law. She also received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from American University's Kogod School of Business. Ms. Dennis also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and psychology from Spelman College.

Ms. Dennis has a significant amount of experience in real estate matters. She has managed real estate transactions ranging from $200,000 to $800,000,000.

Previously, in 2007 and in 2008, Ms. Dennis served as an Associate with Patton Boggs LLP. In that capacity, Ms. Dennis represented real estate clients in connection with commercial loans and commercial leases as well as land and building acquisitions. Ms. Dennis also represented the Government of Cameroon on matters involving financial policy, foreign aid, and foreign investment.

From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Dennis was the General Counsel of a small, real estate loan brokerage company based in Washington, DC. As the company's General Counsel, Ms. Dennis regularly drafted commercial loan brokerage agreements, formed and structured debt transactions, conducted due diligence, and negotiated real estate finance transactions.

In addition, from 2003 to 2005, Ms. Dennis previously served as an Associate for Collier Shannon Scott, PLLC, where she advised clients on environmental laws, energy laws, and other regulatory matters.

During law school, Ms. Dennis was a member of the American University International Law Review. Ms. Dennis was also a summer clerk for the Honorable Henry H. Kennedy, Jr. in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Additionally, Ms. Dennis worked as a legal extern in the Wireline Competition Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission.
