Cary Law Center, PC was founded by Catherine Cary, Esq., LL.M. to provide cost effective and creative problem solving alternatives. Mediation, Arbitration, Med-Arb and Fact-Finding services can be cost effective compared to costly and time consuming litigation. Publications: E-books “Winning with Trademarks” and “Winning with Franchises.” Co-authored “Winning with the Internet” with Garrett Sutton that is a part of the “Start A Business Toolbox.” Several articles, spanning from August 2002 - December 2004 in the Washow County Bar Association Journal entitled the Writ, I wrote the Pro Bono Corner as the Pro Bono Coordinator in Washoe County.
Presentations/Lectures/Appearances: Moderator for a panel presentation “Ethical Dilemmas, Legal Malpractice and Other Common Intellectual Property Issues and Solutions” for the Nevada State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting/Continuing Legal Education in Monterey, California, June 26, 2010; Guest speaker at Thursday’s Insights, Mediation – creative problem solving to preserve nerves and wealth in today’s economy, San Mateo, California, March 25, 2010. Talk America Internet Radio discussing numerous topics. These appearances occurred from October 2004 – October 2008.
Research Activities/Fellowships/Grants/Contracts: SJD - Research and Dissertation entitled A Comparative Analysis of Scotland and the United States Dispute Resolution Systems, January 2009 to present; Conducting research in the form of a Real Estate Mediation Survey with a Golden Gate University School of Law, third year Doctor of Jurisprudence Candidate. The results will be published in the hopes to improve the practice and use of mediation in the field of real estate disputes.
