Carly L. Turow is Of Counsel at Katz & Korin, PC, where she brings a unique blend of technical know-how and compassion to the practice of law.
After graduating from Purdue University in 1997 with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Carly took a job in Dallas, Texas. There, she was a product manager for the user interface portion of decision support software for manufacturers and distributors of consumer goods. In that capacity, she mediated discussions between those who wrote the program and those who implemented it.
Carly returned to the Midwest to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant based in Chicago, Illinois. There she continued to work as a bridge between those who could write computer code, and those who needed to use the programs. Because of her experience and ability to quickly discern needs and develop solutions, she was asked to help draft project proposals and progress reports for multi-vendor, cross-platform systems implementations, as well as modify technical presentations to ensure suitability for corporate executives, plant managers, or hourly employees.
Carly's experiences, education, and background have provided a strong framework for assisting businesses with technical legal issues. Carly has the knowledge to provide significant value to clients in need of guidance on matters related to internet law, software startups, real estate, income tax, and franchises. Carly can offer unique insights to clients, and has assisted manufacturers, software developers, and technology businesses to minimize the legal risks they face.
Carly is a native of Indianapolis who has travelled extensively throughout the country and the world, but always ends up back home in Indiana. She looks forward to a time when she can return to those travels. For now, she enjoys spending time around the house and the city with her husband, three young children and one old dog, cooking, reading, playing games, and generally making messes and cleaning them up.
