When litigation is unavoidable, I represent businesses and employers regarding discrimination, trade secrets, and noncompete agreements. This includes representing my clients in proceedings before Oregon's Bureau of Labor and Industries, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Brian is a trial attorney with experience trying cases in both Oregon and Washington courts. Having successfully tried cases in both Washington and Oregon, Brian is comfortable with the procedures used in both states.
Brian has litigated employment cases on behalf of businesses and employers regarding sexual harassment, trade secret protection, discrimination and non-compete agreements. His experience extends to both state and federal courts. Brian also has significant experience defending commercial liability claims and breach of contract matters for national and local businesses.
Brian frequently speaks to businesses and trade organizations on important issues impacting business and employers. Brian has also taught the “Conflicts of Interest” class to newly admitted lawyers for the Washington State Bar Association. Additionally, Brian has had several articles published by the Portland Business Journal, and has presented several webinars for this publication on employment law topics.
