Ana McNamara is a litigation attorney with over 10 years of experience. She has successfully represented corporate clients and individuals in matters ranging from breach of contract and misrepresentation claims to landlord-tenant, personal injury and injunctions/temporary restraining orders. Highly competitive, Ms. McNamara is dedicated to accomplishing a winning result for her clients. She has been described by her peers as a strategically aggressive adversary and a formidable opponent in the courtroom.
Prior to starting her own law practice, she practiced litigation with a national law firm based in Chicago, Illinois. She has authored various legal articles, including "The Inevitable Disclosure Doctrine: Restricting Competition Through the Back Door," IDC Quarterly, vol. 11, no. 2, First Quarter, 2001 and the "Let's Be Legal" column in the national newspaper, Broker News. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, is active in various charitable organizations (formerly serving pro bono as general counsel of the RJS Breast Cancer Help Foundation, Inc.).
Ms. McNamara's practice consists of 90 percent litigation and 10 percent transactional matters. In order to better serve her clients, she obtained her Illinois Real Estate Broker's License and regularly attends continuing education seminars on a variety of legal topics. Her diverse business experience, which includes trading commodity futures contracts on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, enables her to better understand and serve her business clients. To date, Ms. McNamara has never lost a jury trial.
