Alexander Davie

My legal practice encompasses a wide variety of corporate, finance, and real estate matters. In my corporate practice, I have worked extensively with entrepreneurs and emerging companies on all aspects of their businesses, including company formation, mergers and acquisitions, vendor and customer contracts, and debt and equity financings. In my real estate practice, I have participated in property acquisitions, mortgage financings, and commercial leasing matters throughout the United States.

Alexander Davie received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude and his Juris Doctor degree at Duke University School of Law, graduating with high honors. While in law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Duke Law & Technology Review. In addition, Mr. Davie received a Master of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.

Mr. Davie began his career at Ballard Spahr LLP and later at Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, both of which are based in Philadelphia, PA. Later, Mr. Davie served as vice president and general counsel to H B Sconyers and Company, a private investment fund manager. In 2011, he returned to private practice, where he advises a variety of clients on their business law matters.

Mr. Davie has experience serving on the boards of a number of civic organizations, including having served as the president of a 300+ unit condominium association.  He is also active in the Nashville Bar Association serving on its Ethics and Professionalism Committee and Business Transactions and Corporate Counsel Committee.
