Why is SOPA a big problem for everyone? Just ask DaJaz1.com

The Stop Online Piracy Act purports to give the government and private actors new, relatively opaque power to shut down websites.  However, as this article details, this power is not entirely new; the Department of Homeland Security alleged copyright infringement and shut down a number of websites.  One of the websites thereby shut down, DaJaz1.com, provided evidence that it was not infringing any copyrights; this article reviews the government's response to the website's attempt to prove its innocence and highlights the types of problems and abuses this authority enables.
