White House Released Privacy Framework Includes the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights

The White House recently made clear their stance on the hot-button issue of internet privacy with a white paper which provides a framework aimed at protecting privacy while promoting innovation on the internet.  This article notes that the White House's proposal includes the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights, expounds the seven core principles contained therein, and notes certain interactions the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights could have with the White House's proposal.  The article also notes that this will likely represent a basis for a great deal of activity in this area going forward.
