Suggestions to USPTO for educating public and small businesses about trademarks

Trademark attorneys often educate their clients (and the general public) about trademarks and trademark policing issues; this is especially important for trademark attorneys who specialize in working with small businesses, as these businesses often lack the institutional knowledge of trademarks' importance.  This article shares a letter about this topic recently written to the USPTO Commissioner for Trademarks; the letter emphasizes the importance of broader trademark education and the various avenues via which this education could be accomplished.
