Principal Register of trademarks vs. Supplemental Register

When you register a trademark, it can either go on the principal register or the supplemental register.  The principal register confers stronger protection, but not every trademark registration will qualify for it.  This article explains the benefits of having a trademark which gets registered on either register, and also serves to highlight the increased strengths of principal registry.
