Netflix Seeks to Revise Video Privacy Law

This article reviews an effort by Netflix to revise the Video Privacy Protection Act, which requires a video renter's express consent before a rental service can share such user's private video rental information.  Why would Netflix lobby to have this law changed?  According to the article, the desire to partner with Facebook, which has privacy concerns of its own, is prominent in Netflix's mind.
