A recent presentation at a prominent conference related to trademark rights and keyword advertising.  This article is part of a series of reaction pieces on the conference in general and that presentation in particular.  The article explains how the language used in the presentation hindered meaningful understanding of the problem (trademark rights being diluted by ethical and unethical SEO and purchases of keyword advertising) and points out how this type of language is also used to justify lawsuits businesses lacking Google's financial capacity to defend themselves.
