Commercial Real Estate Negotiation - A Tenant's Perspective

In this article, Jared A. Jacobson, Esq. gives a brief overview of the commercial lease negotiation process and certain provisions of which the tenant should be aware.  Tenant's may have more leverage than they realize when negotiating with their landlords, whether it is mid-term of lease or the commencement of the lease.  Certain concepts and provisions discussed include:  option to renew, understanding other tenants' rights, exclusivity and "good guy" guaranty.
