Apple sued by Chinese writers’ group for Apple Store copyright infringement

As this article relates, Apple has recently been sued by a group of Chinese writers who allege unauthorized sales of e-books written by them via the Apple Store.  Because these e-books were originally uploaded by users, Apple would initially seem to be protected by the DMCA's safe harbor against copyright infringement; however, the article explains that an impending Second Circuit decision involving YouTube could dramatically shift the scope of Apple's liability to the Chinese writers.
